RTS-1C were used in innovative study - Evolutionary contingency's impact on laboratory evolution of Escherichia coli under fluctuating environments

RTS-1C were used to control and induce temperature fluctuations and simultaneously performing optical density measurements on long term experiment. (Link to an article).

The experiment lasted around 6 months totalling an average of 600 E.coli generations.
